The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has shut down several health centres after they failed inspections, according to WAM. The state news agency reported that the health facilities were closed during a campaign to make sure all institutions in the emirate meet job licence standards. In a statement, the SEDD added that "the department is conducting further investigations on the reported facilities and is monitoring all procedures carried out to ensure that no further complications arise as several serious issues".
The department warned all facilities to comply with the emirate's laws as it continues its campaign.
It did not name the health facilities affected.
