RAS AL KHAIMAH // Municipality inspectors have handed out a series of fines and closures to businesses for breaches of health and safety regulations.
Among the breaches were 11 tons of meat and fish from RAK International Airport that were found not fit for human consumption.
And a restaurant was fined and shut down for a series of health and safety regulations including the use of expired food ingredients. The restaurant will remain closed until the owners rectify the offences, said Khalifa Mohammed Al Maktoum, director of the Department of Health and Environment in RAK.
“Every citizen should be vigilant and report any violations that they notice,” he said.
