ABU DHABI // People who suffer from an inherited blood disorder will be offered employment opportunities at World Security, a Dubai-based security solutions provider.
The company signed an agreement with Dubai Health Authority's Thalassemia Centre today with the aim of providing job opportunities for Thalassemics in the UAE.
World Security will ensure a comfortable work environment and an additional two-days off every month so employees can undergo blood transfusions, which are needed every three to four weeks.
Mahmoud Amin, chief executive of World Security, said it will try to provide jobs to as many Thalassemics as possible.
"We are confident that these patients will add to the quality of our workforce and will be able to perform their duties diligently," he said.
