The police in the emirate are investigating the death of the African boy after the accident was reported at 3.55pm on Sunday, Arabic newspaper, Al Roeya reported.

"Police patrols and criminal investigation teams of Al Gharb Police Station rushed to the accident site after receiving the report, and found that the child suffered from an autism spectrum disorder," said a police official.

The boy fell after he climbed a chair that was placed in the balcony at their apartment in Abu Shagara area.
