A world record was set on Friday at the Ibn Battuta Mall as 2,420 people were given blood tests to check their cholesterol levels.
Organised by Axa Gulf and Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, the Guinness World Record was achieved for the most blood cholesterol readings in eight hours at a single venue.
Sixty nurses from Al Zahra hospital carried out the tests and recorded the results, averaging less than five minutes per person.
Participants also had the chance to consult a cardiologist, dietician and a family doctor.
The day concluded with a raffle draw with 20 people winning 10 free health insurance packages for one year from Axa and 10 winners for health check-ups at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai.
