Ajman authorities have issued new guidelines as more  economic activities in the Emirate will be resuming on Saturday.

Cinemas, gyms, children salons, car washes, car valets and a number of other services must have a maximum 50 per cent of capacity of visitors.

The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) announced the guidelines earlier today.

The retail and wholesale trading sector can operate at 70 per cent for both visitors and employees.

Children aged 12 or younger and adults 60 and above can visit health centres and clinics inside shopping malls, provided they have a prior appointment, are accompanied by an adult and have informed mall security.

All visitors and employees are required to follow the precautionary measures put in place by authorities, including wearing masks and gloves and social distancing.

Ajman DED also said that employees who have just returned to the UAE on a repatriation flight must observe a house quarantine.

All workers will also be subject to a medical test prior to returning to their duties.

Authorities said mandatory temperature testing of all employees and visitors must be carried out before entering a facility. Hand sterilisers should be available in all common areas.
