The weather will be relatively hot across the emirates over the next 24 hours with Liwa experiencing the extremes from 23°C to as high as 42°C.
Abu Dhabi's average temperature will be 39°C, while Fujairah residents will experience a comparatively cool average of 35°C.
Friday night will be mild, partly cloudy and hazy over some areas, reported the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology. Clouds will appear over some eastern areas of the country. Winds will continue to be light to moderate, freshening over Saturday afternoon.
Motorists should prepare for a chance of fog on Saturday morning, as humidity is expected to increase overnight in the interior and the coast.
Seas in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate, becoming rough by late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Seas will be slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
The highest expected UAE temperature is between 40°C to 44°C in internal areas, with lows between 19°C and 26°C. As usual, the weather will be chiller in the mountains, dropping as low as 18°C in the next 24 hours.
Sweihan hit the highest recorded temperature in the country today, at 44.1°C.
A similar forecast is expected for the next 48 hours.
