Hamad praises Fujairah's success

In his address to the nation on the 38th National Day, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, said the UAE federation experience is one of the most successful experiences in the region. In his statement to Nation Shield Magazine, he underlined that the country has overcome difficulties and challenges and emerged vigorous to attain prosperity. "The record of history boasts the UAE achievements under the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, may God have mercy on him. This legacy was sustained and continued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who followed the course of the late Sheikh Zayed steadily to preserve and attained further achievements to provide welfare to the citizens of the UAE As this occasion is dear to our hearts, I seize this opportunity to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, my brothers Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates and the people of the UAE. The Zayed leadership was one of the most important pillars on which the Union was based. Through that leadership miracle and feat "the United Arab Emirates" was born. The late Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, planted the seeds of unity, cohesion and solidarity in all parts of the country, thanks to God and the rulers, who confidently sustain the union to score great achievements. Hence, the UAE enjoys prestigious regional and international position. This was translated in winning the race to host the headquarters of the International Renewable Energy Agency "Irena", in Abu Dhabi. It is an indicator that the UAE is seeking to invest in renewable energy. This move adds a new and distinguished record to the achievements of the UAE. Our federation experience is one of the most successful experiences in the region. As the country overcomes the difficulties and challenges, it emerged vigorous and attained prosperity. The UAE started by developing human resources development, which is a genuine resource for the country. This then followed with cultural, economic and political development. Under the union, the UAE built industry, educational, sports and cultural premises as per international standards in a way that surprised the world. For example; Al Saadiyat Island, Yas Circuit, Masdar city and cultural projects, and huge infrastructure across the country impressed people across the globe. The UAE has adopted a Shura system (consultation) and the open door policy between the leadership and people since its inception. Today, the UAE is ranked among the civilised countries in the light of its recent record achievements. We have a right to be proud of what God endowed on us. Congratulations to our wise leadership and sincere prayers to the late father Sheikh Zayed.
