Halloween in Abu Dhabi

Check out Halloween-themed events across the UAE capital.

PJ O’Reilly’s at Le Royal Meridien will offer a Halloween-themed barbecue brunch on Friday from 1pm to 4pm.

PJ’s band and resident DJ will perform and customers will have free access to the pool. Face painting and a bouncy castle will be available for children.

Prices are Dh150 for adults and Dh60 for children from 4 to 12.

ArtBeat will offer a range of activities for children. The Abu Dhabi studio will be open for children to paint on ceramics, figurines or shape ghosts and pumpkin masks using papier mache. The Halloween-themed activities will include paintings of pumpkins and mugs as well as hand decorations of skulls and witches.

The event is open to children aged 2 and older on Thursday from 9am to 6pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 5pm.

Prices range from Dh30 to Dh120 and a 10 per cent discount is offered on Halloween stock.

The Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi’s Sowwah Square will host a Halloween party, entitled Glovil, at its Glo Lounge, on Thursday from 8pm to 1am.

Customers will be able to enjoy soulful house from the lounge’s resident DJ Drezzil and DJ Koast. The dress code is “haunted chic” and those interested can email contact@glolounge.ae. The lounge also offers cabana packages starting from Dh3,000, including four bottles of bubbly.

Fun City will hold a Spookfest Halloween party on Thursday for children aged 3 to 12. Sixteen malls across the country will feature Halloween games and celebrations.

Children are encouraged to dress up and will receive a free meal and giveaways, as well as a certificate of participation.

Cost is Dh50 per child and registration is open at any Fun City centre until noon on Thursday.

Timings are 6pm to 9pm at Dalma Mall, 6pm to 8.30pm at Marina Mall, 6pm to 8pm at Al Ain’s Bawadi Mall and 6.30pm to 9pm at Jimi Mall.

Api Cae Gourmet is hosting a trick-or-treat event from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday on the ground floor of Khalidiya Tower, Block A.

There will be face painting, a costume party and pumpkin carving.

Cost is Dh120 with a 10 per cent dine-in discount offered to parents.
