Phone users will see the Nov30 icon appear across the top of their phone screens in a tribute to mark Commemoration Day that occurs in respect of servicemen and women who have fallen while serving their country.
The temporary new network name will only appear until Thursday.
"With great pride, the name of the network has been changed to 30NOV to celebrate Martyr's Day," Etisalat tweeted on Tuesday.
Residents and citizens were also sent an SMS from the Marytrs' Families' Affairs Office, remind them to take part in a minute of silent prayer at 11.30am on November 30.
A similar tribute was conducted by Etisalat and Du in September to mark Saudi Arabia’s National Day, with ‘UAE KSA Together’ appearing on handsets.
