UAE leaders congratulate Sultan Qaboos on Oman National Day

The President sends a congratulatory cable while Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed note brotherly ties on Twitter

President Sheikh Khalifa sent a congratulatory message to Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Oman on the occasion of his country's 48th National Day.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent similar congratulatory messages to Sultan Qaboos.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tweeted a video highlighting the UAE and Oman's brotherly ties on the country's 48th birthday.

He noted the series of milestones that were achieved during the reign of Sultan Qaboos. He said that the "Omanis are the UAE’s brothers and have close ties, which they are proud off, and are deepened each day".

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended his warm wishes to Oman’s Sultan Qaboos and its noble people.

He praised Oman’s journey that is full of milestones, and emphasised that the UAE and Oman have deep ties that will be bolstered further.

Abu Dhabi media zone twofour54 sent their congratulatory tweet with a rare video of the UAE's Founding Father Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Khalifa greeting Sultan Qaboos.

The UAE celebrates its National Day on December 2. The UAE Cabinet sent a statement announcing that it will be a two-day holiday for public and private sector workers.
