President Sheikh Khalifa led congratulatory messages to Sultan Qaboos of Oman on Sunday ahead of his country's Renaissance Day.

Renaissance Day is celebrated as a public holiday for both government and private sector workers.

Ahead of the holiday, Sultan Qaboos issued a royal pardon to 274 prisoners, according to a tweet from the Royal Oman Police.
