Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid congratulated France on their 2018 Fifa World Cup win on Sunday.
The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai tweeted his congratulations to France on their 4-2 win in the final against Croatia, who he also gave kudos to for a "beautiful game".
He offered a "special congratulations" to Russia for its "wonderful organisation" of the tournament.

"The people enjoyed an unexpected World Cup and gathered in our mutual love for a beautiful, exciting and interesting game," he said.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also tweeted his congratulations to France and thanked Russia for hosting the World Cup.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces conveyed his greetings and appreciation to all the participating teams.

"Football will continue to be a mass sport that brings the world together for good and love," he said.
Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, too congratulated France, calling the team's win "well-deserved".
He commended the Croatian team for their performance and "honourable exit" and applauded the host country for its successful organisation of the World Cup.
