UAE leaders celebrate Man City’s Premier League title with football cake

DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, posted a photo of several senior sheikhs celebrating Manchester City’s Premier League title.

The sheikhs and the Council of Ministers congratulated Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, who owns Manchester City.

Manchester City defeated West Ham on Sunday to clinch their second league title in three years.

Fans in the UAE braved the heat at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City to watch the club triumph.

City are scheduled to arrive in the UAE this week, where they take on Arabian Gulf League giants Al Ain at the new Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Thursday.
