UAE Embassy in Spain releases new stamps to mark Year of Zayed
The stamps, which feature a portrait of the country’s Founding Father, will be used for all official correspondence
The UAE Embassy in Madrid has released a new set of stamps to mark the Year of Zayed.
The design features a portrait of the country’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, alongside an image of the UAE flag.
Officials said the stamps would be used for embassy and military-attache correspondence with Spain and the rest of the world.
"The initiative reflects the special place of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the hearts of all Emiratis,” said Dr Hassa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Spain.
“The Year of Zayed is a great national occasion, which we mark with pride as we commemorate the values adopted by Sheikh Zayed, which became part of our national identity.”
This summer, the UAE released three stamps to mark 34 years of diplomatic relations between the Middle East and Far East countries following the three-day state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
