Two travel companies at the centre of a parasailing accident in Sharjah in which six people were hurt have been suspended from operating while an investigation is carried out.
Sharjah's departments of Civil Aviation and Economic Development enforced an immediate suspension of the agencies for organising two trips on Saturday as high winds swept through the emirate.
Police said the men were parasailing in stormy conditions when the ropes connecting their three parachutes to a boat snapped.
They were taken to a Khor Fakkan hospital for treatment from minor and moderate injuries caused by the crash landing.
