Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced a decision to promote thousands of senior police and Civil Defence officers on New Year’s Eve.
The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai also promoted staff working for the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
In total, 4,373 members of Dubai Police were given promotions, along with 540 staff from the GDRFA and 344 Dubai Civil Defence employees.
Lt Gen Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, deputy chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security, thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his support.
