The success of the UAE is a success for all Arabs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said during a UAE Cabinet meeting on Sunday.

The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai was speaking in response to the results of the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report for 2017-18, which once again ranked the UAE as the most competitive economy in the Arab World and first in the world in 50 of the 114 indicators.

"Our goal is to lead globally in all areas and our development is advancing daily, and competition will only increase our excellence," the Prime Minister said on Twitter.

“And I say that the success of the Emirates is a success for Arabs, not just Emiratis; and our experiences will remain open for all our Arab brothers,” he said.

The Global Competitiveness Report is one of the world's most closely watched surveys of countries' economic performance. Since 1971 it has measured the health of the countries' economic competitiveness via 114 indicators across a wide spread of sectors.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid chaired the Cabinet meeting in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
