DUBAI // The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award was launched Saturday to encourage more innovation into acquiring, growing and transferring knowledge around the world.
The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid issued decree number 36 for 2015 establishing the new award.
The award will be handed out in December of every year by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, according to the decree.
The award is open to all individuals, as public and private bodies, who meet the requirements.
