Sheikh Mohamed welcomes Prime Minister of Mali

Agreements signed covered economy, trade, defence and culture

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday welcomed Boubou Cisse, the Prime Minister of Mali, at Al Bateen Palace in the capital.

The two countries signed agreements in economy, trade, defence and culture, as well as funding projects.

An economic, trade and technical agreement was signed by Sultan Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, and one in military co-operation was signed by Mohammed Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs.

Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, signed an agreement for cultural co-operation between the two nations.

Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, added his signature to an agreement to fund small-and medium-sized enterprises in Mali.

The deals are expected to create more than 4,300 projects over the next four years and generate about 10,000 job opportunities, state news agency Wam reported.
