Sheikh Mohamed visits UAE's first mobile Covid-19 test centre

The Crown Prince thanked the medical teams for their sacrifices

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited the country's first drive-through Covid-19 test centre set up by Seha, Abu Dhabi Health Services company, on Saturday.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces thanked the medical teams out in the field.

“[They] are the first line of protection of the UAE, their sacrifices safeguard our health,” Sheikh Mohamed said on Twitter.

Seha tweeted that the mobile testing facility for Covid-19 is located in Zayed Sports City where people can be tested in five minutes.

The centre will be open from 8am until 8pm each day and has the capacity to conduct 600 tests per day.

The results will be delivered via sms and the Seha app.

The new centre was also visited by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed, member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office.

Sheikh Khalid reaffirmed the country's confidence in its ability to successfully combat the pandemic.

"Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, we are confident in our ability to face this global pandemic," Sheikh Khalid stated in a Twitter post published by Abu Dhabi Media Office.

"We will be able to over come this with our entities’ capabilities, our values of co-operation, and the Abu Dhabi community’s awareness."

The UAE reported 63 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total to 468 while 55 patients have recovered since the outbreak began.
