Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today honoured Emirati heroes for their national duty and recognised their efforts to advance humanitarian work overseas.

Sheikh Mohamed decorated Flight Lt Sheikh Mohammed bin Suroor Al Nahyan, Flight Lt Ahmed Al Ketbi and Capt Abdullah Al Dar'i with the UAE Fourth Class Medal.

He honoured martyr Maj Humaid Al Shamsi with the UAE Third Class Medal, which his brother Mohammed received.

Also at the majlis were Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, chairman of the board of trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed, chairman of the board of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, Sheikh Issa bin Zayed, Sheikh Suroor bin Mohamed and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak.
