Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed received Ryan McCarthy, acting secretary of the US Army, in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces met with McCarthy at Al Shati Palace, to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral defence relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two exchanged dialogue on a number of issues of mutual interest and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.

A number of UAE and US officials joined the meeting, including Lt General Issa Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Staff Major General Saleh Mohammed Saleh Majran Al Ameri, Commander of the Ground Forces.
