Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed meets Imran Khan in Dubai

The Pakistani prime minister is taking part in the World Government Summit

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met Imran Khan, the prime minister of Pakistan, ahead of his appearance at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces greeted Mr Khan at Dubai International Airport.

They discussed boosting co-operation and friendship between the UAE and Pakistan.

At the World Government Summit, Mr Khan is expected to outline his vision for the future for Pakistan. He is also expected to discuss how he aims to boost trade, increase jobs and build more houses.

It was part of a busy day of engagements for Mr Khan at the summit.

He also met Saad Al Hariri, prime minister of Lebanon and Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund. Mr Khan, who took power last August, visited Abu Dhabi in November.

Meanwhile Sheikh Mohamed met a number of political leaders and officials in Dubai on Sunday.

He also met Mr Al Hariri and Ms Lagarde, along with David Beasley, executive director of the UN World Food Programme.
