Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi met Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met with Pakistan’s prime minister, Imran Khan, in Islamabad on Sunay.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces was received by Mr Khan at the airport, where an official reception ceremony was held.
The two then held a meeting at the Prime Minister House to discuss ways to enhance co-operation between the UAE and Pakistan.
Mr Khan welcomed Sheikh Mohamed's visit, saying the strong relations between the two countries are built on foundations laid by UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed.
He said Sheikh Zayed has a special place in heart of every Pakistani due to his support.
"There is much evidence of the support provided by Sheikh Zayed to Pakistan at all levels," he said.
Mr Khan also thanked Sheikh Mohamed again for the UAE’s recent financial support to the State Bank of Pakistan.
A few weeks ago, the UAE pledged to deposit $3 billion (Dh11 billion) in the State Bank of Pakistan to support the country's financial and monetary policy.
Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Khan spoke about furthering political, economic, investment and developmental relations, reported state news agency Wam.
A luncheon was also held in honour of Sheikh Mohamed and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was the third between the two men in less than three months.
In November last year, Mr Khan visited Abu Dhabi and met Sheikh Mohamed. The two discussed the strengthening of ties and investments, and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern.
It was Mr Khan's second visit to Abu Dhabi in three months and Sheikh Mohamed last visited Pakistan in January 2007.
