Sheikh Hamdan at Davos: Dubai Crown Prince discusses partnership with WEF chief
The UAE strikes an agreement with the World Economic Forum to set up an advanced research centre
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said enhancing international cooperation and international partnerships is a cornerstone of the UAE country's ongoing efforts to deliver the future.
The Dubai Crown Prince made the remarks at a meeting with Professor Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum founder and CEO, on the sidelines of the 49th edition of the event in Davos, Switzerland.
The UAE is set to lead the region’s contribution to the development of new technologies after an agreement with the WEF to set up an advanced research centre in Dubai.
This first Affiliate Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution was launched on Tuesday in Davos.
Sheikh Hamdan and Mr Schwab spoke about ways to develop relations between the UAE and World Economic Forum and promote their co-operation to harness the Fourth Industrial Revolution to establish a new model for knowledge and innovations aimed at ensuring a better future for generations to come.

The theme of this year's event at Davos is "Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution."
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, and a number of ministers and officials were in attendance.
