Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets officials from Guinea-Bissau and Burkina Faso
The meetings highlighted growing bilateral ties between the UAE and West African nations
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed met with two prominent government officials from West Africa this week.
On Wednesday, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation held a meeting with Aristides Gomes, Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau at the ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The two exchanged views on regional and international issues and stressed their desire to enhance bilateral ties.
The meeting was also attended by Mamadou Sanou, special non-resident ambassador of Guinea-Bissau to the UAE.
In a separate meeting earlier this week, Sheikh Abdullah met with Alpha Barry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Burkina Faso.
The meeting focused on new opportunities between the UAE and the West African nation in areas of trade, investment, tourism and defence.
