Sharjah police continue clampdown on illegals

Police have urged residents to report suspected illegal immigrants.

SHARJAH // Forty-two illegal immigrants have been arrested in the latest police clampdown in different parts of the emirate.

Those arrested were from a number of countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Ethiopia and other Arab countries.

Some of the men were arrested while roaming the emirate’s streets and others were working illegally as street vendors or as beggars.

Police said they will continue with their campaign and urged all residents to report suspected illegal immigrants by calling 999.
