Sharjah mourns death of Sheikh Ahmed Al Qasimi

Three days of mourning for brother of Sharjah Crown Prince

Three days of mourning have been declared in Sharjah following the death of Sheikh Ahmed Al Qasimi.

Sheikh Ahmed was the brother of Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi, Wam reported.

Sheikh Ahmed died on Tuesday morning, Wam said.

Sharjah Ruler's court expressed its condolences to the family of Sheikh Ahmed and members of Al Qasimi family.

Funeral prayers will be performed on Wednesday morning at King Faisal Mosque and Sheikh Ahmed's body will be buried at Al Jubail cemetery.

Condolences will be accepted at Al Badee Palace in Sharjah for three days from 9am on Wednesday

Flags will flown at half mast throughout the mourning period.
