ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed spoke of the importance of the National Service at Wahat Al Karama memorial site on Monday.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces said the National Service is a bedrock for building generations capable of addressing challenges.

It also instils the values of loyalty, belonging and sacrifice for protecting the nation and preserving its achievements, Sheikh Mohammed said, speaking to Abu Dhabi Executive Council employees who had completed the National Service training programme.

“The National Service is an honour for the nation’s youth, an opportunity to hone their skills and build their character,” he said, as quoted by Wam, the state news agency.

“It is an investment in the generation who represents the present of the UAE and its promising future.”
