ABU DHABI // King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has praised the UAE’s efforts to support sustainable development across the Arab world, including Jordan.

The king met with Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai, shortly before inaugurating the Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Military Hospital in Ajloun, Jordan.

King Abdullah and Princess Haya, Chairman of International Humanitarian City, toured the nine-storey, 150-bed hospital, visiting both male and female wards and other departments.

The king expressed his appreciation of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed has extended his support to several initiatives in Jordan, including the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, the renovation and expansion of the Haya Cultural Centre as well as the extension of the ‘Reading Nation’ campaign to Jordanian and Iraqi refugee camps through the Red Crescent, reported Wam, the state news agency.
