Emirates Red Crescent distributed food aid to contract workers at Tarim General Hospital in Wadi in Yemen's Hadramaut governorate, on Wednesday.
A team visited the hospital to identify the needs of its low-income contract workers and distribute humanitarian assistance and basic food supplies.
Abdul Aziz Al Jaberi, ERC Representative in Hadramaut, said the charity would continue to provide relief to those with limited income and who suffer economic hardships.
The medical staff of Tarim General Hospital thanked ERC for their continued support, which includes providing an ambulance and maintaining the hospital’s facilities.
The UAE, represented by the ERC, has provided Dh9.4billion in aid to Yemen between April 2015 and November 2017.
The country's relief efforts intensified in 2017 and its efforts were detailed in a wide-ranging report by state news agency Wam.
