Dubai Ruler pays tribute to daughter of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince on Twitter
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid thanked Sheikha Maryam bint Mohamed bin Zayed for her hard work organising both the Sheikh Zayed memorial on the Corniche and the country's 47th National Day celebrations
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has paid tribute to the daughter of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince on Twitter.
He thanked Sheikha Maryam bint Mohamed bin Zayed, who is the daughter of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, for her hard work throughout the year.
Sheikha Maryam, who was the head of the Founder's Memorial project on the Corniche, was also responsible for yesterday’s Zayed Sports Stadium celebration to mark the UAE’s 47th National Day.
The show was a high-energy tribute to to the UAE's Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, called This Is Zayed.
More than two thirds of the performers were Emiratis and there were also live musical performances by the UK's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Another tweet from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, which was published while he watched the event, was shared widely after being displayed on a giant screen at the stadium. It paid tribute to Sheikh Zayed, started with the hashtag #علمني_زايد, which translates as “Zayed taught me”.
It said: “Humans are greater than buildings, achievements are greater than a position. A country is greater than its people”.
