Dh390 million in housing assistance approved to aid 629 Emiratis

The amount covers 518 residential housing grants and 111 housing loans, said Dr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and chairman of the board of directors of the national housing scheme.

ABU DHABI // Almost Dh400 million in housing loans for 629 Emiratis have been approved by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.

The amount, Dh390 million, covers 518 residential housing grants and 111 housing loans, said Dr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and chairman of the board of directors of the national housing scheme, reported Wam, the state news agency.

The announcement reflects the government’s efforts in achieving happiness and providing modern housing units and decent living conditions for all citizens, the minister said, adding that it is also part of efforts to achieve the goals of the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda.

The approval of the loans is as per the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and is being followed up by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
