Abu Dhabi Fund grants Dh184 million for Comoros Island projects
UAE delegation signs agreement during visit to the archipelago
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has agreed to provide Dh184 million in funding to the government of the Comoros.
The memorandum of understanding, signed on Thursday, is aimed at supporting a number of development programmes in the archipelago.
President of the Republic of the Comoros, Ghazali Osmani, signed the agreement during a visit by a UAE delegation to the islands.
Emirati representatives were headed by Suhail Al Mazroui, the Minister of Energy and Industry.
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has been active in the Comoros since 1979. Since that time it has contributed Dh253 million in funding.
