Gems to accommodate 33,000 children in new UAE schools

Education provider Gems is planning to open 10 new schools throughout the UAE in the next two years.

Private education group Gems has announced it will open 10 new schools with capacity for 33,000 pupils within the next two years.

The schools, following the British, Indian, International Baccalaureate, American and dual curricula, will open in 2013 and 2014.

They will be built in the capital, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

The Indian school will open with 4,000 spaces in 2014.

The education group also plans to establish a leadership academy and teacher training centre in Dubai.
