DUBAI // An explosion which ripped through a family villa in Mirdif, seriously injuring four teenage girls, is believed to have been caused by a gas leak, according to Civil Defence officials. The girls, all believed to be aged between 14 and 16, suffered first and second-degree burns in the the blast on Friday night. They remain in induced comas at Rashid Hospital's intensive care unit, where the are being treated for their injuries. Police were expected to reveal the results of a preliminary investigation later today.
