Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar Gargash, praised the presence of the ministers at the FNC sessions, and their transparent responses to the questions raised by members.
Gargash: 'Support from Government enhances the FNC'
Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and for the FNC, said that the support provided by the Government to the council will help enhance its legislative and regulatory framework, Wam reported last night.
Adding that this is reflected in the progress achieved in the overall development of the UAE, he said: "The council represents one of the pillars of the empowerment programme launched by the President Sheikh Khalifa, to develop the political system in the UAE and enhance political participation."
Dr Gargash praised the presence of the ministers at the FNC sessions, and their transparent responses to the questions raised by members, which showed the great cooperation between the legislative and executive bodies in the UAE.
He said that the debate on the draft federal law for 2013 on amending some provisions of Federal Law No 51 for 2006 on combating crimes of human trafficking, and establishing an International Centre of Excellence to combat violent extremism, highlighted "the integration and harmony".
