An earthquake of 3.1 magnitude occurred 27 kilometres north of Fujairah last night just after nine o'clock, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.
Two other earthquakes, one at 8.13pm measuring 3.8 magnitude which was 33km north of Fujairah in the Sea of Oman, and 4.6 magnitude about 200km northeast of Fujairah in Iran 25 minutes later were also recorded by the centre.
A spokesman said the tremors in the UAE were mild.
"We received many calls from Fujairah residents. They said they felt the earthquake," he said.
