ABU DHABI // It is your religious duty to serve your country, Friday’s sermon will tell worshippers.
“Allah has programmed the human being to love the land He was born and lived on and ate from its goods,” the sermon states.
“Allah has blessed us to live in this dear beloved homeland, which is one of the most precious there is,” it continues.
And those people who are thankful will have extra blessing heaped upon them by Allah.
The sermon explains how people will be asked about their homeland on Judgement Day and that it is their responsibility to raise their children to love the land, “so let us return our sons to defending its soul and protecting its accomplishments and obey its leaders”.
Worshippers will also hear how it is a religious obligation to defend one’s homeland in order to stop bloodshed. Children must also be raised with good work discipline, skills and physical form.
A hadith from the Prophet Mohammed also states that Allah’s love for strong believers is greater than for those who are weak.
