The Dubai World Cup is back under starting orders on Saturday - and extra transport is being laid on to help thousands of race-goers get to the event.
More than 50,000 fans are expected to flock to Meydan Racecourse to witness the richest horse race in the world.
Doors open at noon for the sporting spectacle, which will feature a nine-race card headlined by the $12m World Cup race itself, followed by an after-show concert starring chart-topping singer Gwen Stefani.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has said it will lay on 50 buses to take fans from Deira City Centre and Dubai Mall metro station to the venue.
Extra parking will be provided near the Nad Al Sheba mosque and opposite Falcon Research Centre, World Cup organisers said.
A free shuttle service, taking travellers to the racecourse, will also be available from this parking area.
The Business Bay and Dubai Mall stations on the metro red line are the closest to the Meydan Racecourse, with taxis also on hand to transport fans to the race.
In recent years, the RTA has also supplied thousands of taxis to cope with the surge in demand on World Cup day.
The authority has not yet disclosed full details of its transport arrangements for this year's race.
