ABU DHABI // Ras Al Khaimah Hospital has announced it will offer free testing until Thursday to mark World Diabetes Day.
The campaign, launched today, will offer free fasting blood glucose test, a blood pressure assessment, a body composition analysis and consultations with endocrinologists.
“Foot care is one of the most overlooked aspects of diabetes management,” said Dr Alida Taniwallova, an endocrinologist at the hospital. “Diabetes can limit the blood supply to your feet and cause a loss of feeling. The lack of feeling means you may not notice if your foot is sore or injured.”
