Firefighters contain blaze at two Deira warehouses

According to a spokesman from Dubai Civil Defence, the fire started round 6.15pm in a warehouse that was used to store building materials, and quickly spread to an adjoining building.

A fire that broke out and spread to two warehouses in the Umm Ramool district of eastern Dubai last night has been brought under control.

While firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, they said it would take hours to completely extinguish the flames, the spokesman said. No one was injured in the blaze. Investigations are continuing.
