Fire breaks out in Dubai, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed monitors operations

A fire broke out at two warehouses in Al Quoz on Tuesday.

Lt Col Jamal Ahmad, head of fire combat teams at the scene, said the fire was reported to Civil Defence at 5.15pm.

“Fire teams made it to the location in 4 minutes and started combating flames immediately,” he said.

Firefighters from stations in Al Barsha, Al Quoz and the UAE Martyrs’ centres reported to the scene.

Lt Col Ahmad said Civil Defence teams extinguished the fire within twenty minutes.

Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed, son of Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, was also at the site to follow up on firefighting operations.

No injuries were reported.
