Monday is the deadline for tickets to attend Pope Francis's public Mass in Abu Dhabi next month, with many Catholic parishes having already used up their allocation of places.
Although registration for UAE residents has closed, non-GCC residents can apply for a limited number of remaining tickets until the end of the day.
These non-GCC places will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
The Mass will take place at Zayed Sports City Stadium on February 5 and will be open to 120,000 ticket holders.
There are one million Catholics in the UAE, and the visit by Pope Francis is the culmination of years of work by pioneering priests, congregations and the tolerance of UAE leaders.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, said Pope Francis is a symbol of peace and tolerance.
"We look forward to a historic visit, through which we will seek dialogue on the peaceful coexistence among peoples," he said.
