Inspectors from the Bureau International des Expositions, the committee in charge of world expos, visited Zabeel Palace yesterday to meet Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai.
Hosting an expo would play a significant role in building cultural bridges between the world and the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed told the delegation, the state news agency Wam reported.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
