DUBAI// Etisalat has so far disconnected 1.3 million mobile phone lines of subscribers who have not registered their Sim cards after they were alerted by SMS messages to do so.
The registration deadline for the third batch of customers who have received SMS messages as part of the My Number, My Identity campaign is April 16.
Etisalat is urging people who have been sent the notification messages to register before the deadline or face having their phones blocked.
