Etihad and Emirates cancel flights between Kuwait due to bad weather
Emirates said it is in process of rebooking flights
Emirates and Etihad have cancelled flights to and from Kuwait due to poor weather conditions.
All flights have been temporarily suspended at Kuwait International Airport because of poor weather conditions, according to the country’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
This has led to both Emirates and Etihad cancelling flights to and from the country.
Emirates has cancelled flights EK853, EK855, EK871, EK857, EK875 and EK859.
The airline’s website states: “We are in the process of rebooking the flights to final destination and will send updated intinerary shortly”.
Etihad has also cancelled flights EY301, EY305, EY306 and EY302.
Heavy rain has caused severe flooding in Kuwait - killing one person last week.
The flooding has caused 100 million Kuwait dinars (Dh1.2 billion) in damage, prompting the Minister of Public Works, Hussam Al Roumi to resign.
