A visitor from Ethiopia has been charged with robbery after attacking a man who was on his way to the bank to make a deposit.
Prosecutors told in Dubai Criminal Court yesterday that EP and several accomplices reached into the pocket of SA, an Indian, and snatched Dh55,650, which belonged to the man's boss.
The victim, 36, managed to catch the robber and report him to police, but the others got away. The accused did not have the money when he was arrested in the Naif area. He denied the charges.
The next hearing will be on August 5.
