UAE weather: Mixed bag of weather around the Emirates
"Hot to very hot" weather is expected with southerly winds whipping up dust and rainfall in some places of the country
Temperamental weather is expected in some areas of the country today, including Jebal Hafeet and south-eastern parts of the Emirates, with temperatures to reach up to 44°C in the capital.
"Hot to very hot" weather is expected with partial clouds and haze at times, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on Wednesday.
Rainfall is expected in some parts of the country due to increasing amount of clouds on southern and eastern areas of the country in the afternoon, according to forecasters.
NCMS warned from southeasterly to southerly winds causing blowing dust and poor visibility less than 1500 meters.
Light to moderate winds in general may cause blowing dust over exposed areas in the country.
NCMS forecasters said that humidity levels will rise overnight and during the early morning hours.
Humidity is also expected to reach 90 per cent across coastal regions, increasing at night and in the early morning across coastal and internal areas.
The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Coastal and inland areas could have winds up to 36 kilometers an hour and maximum temperatures will be about 49°C in inland areas.
Temperatures will range from 31 to 46°C along the coast and 34 to 49°C in the interior regions.
Heavy to moderate showers lashed Jabal Hafeet, Al Ain, Al Faqa, and Margham on Tuesday. Forecasters warned residents in Al Ain to be extra cautious about unstable weather.
